Visiting this website
Every time a page is retrieved, the web server records the request in a log file. This contains the IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page, the browser and the operating system.
This data is necessary to deliver the page and to recognise attacks on the server. It is processed on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in the secure operation of the site, and it is not merged with other data or used to identify individuals.
The website is hosted by a service provider who processes this data on our behalf under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
The hosting provider is STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin.
The enquiry form
If you send an enquiry through the form, we process the details you enter — your name, e-mail address and, if given, telephone number, dates, number of people and your message — in order to answer it.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, since the processing takes place in order to carry out pre-contractual measures at your request. If the enquiry does not lead to a booking, we delete it once the matter is settled and no retention obligations stand in the way. If a booking results, the commercial and tax retention periods apply — six and ten years respectively.
The form is sent to our own server. Nothing is passed on to third parties beyond the hosting and e-mail provider described above.
Cookies and tracking
This website stores cookies only where you have agreed to them. Until then nothing is written to or read from your device. Google Analytics does load on every page, but in a state in which it is not allowed to store anything; the next section says what that means.
Fonts and all other files are delivered from our own server. The only third party involved anywhere on this site is Google Analytics.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-HH7CCNCPFW) to see which pages are read and how visitors find the site. It records the shortened IP address, the pages viewed, the referring page, the browser and device, and an approximate location derived from the IP address.
The tag loads on every page, but with Google Consent Mode v2 denying every category by default. Before you agree, no cookie is set and nothing is read from your device — Google does however receive a cookieless signal containing your IP address and the page you called up. Full measurement begins only after your consent, on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG.
Cookies set: _ga and _ga_HH7CCNCPFW, each with a lifetime of two years.
Event data are deleted after 2 months, user data after 14 months.
For user data the period starts again with every new visit by the same person, so the 14 months are not an absolute limit.
The recipient is Google Ireland Limited. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States; Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
You can withdraw your consent at any time under “Cookie settings” in the footer. Withdrawal takes effect for the future and is as easy as giving consent (Art. 7(3) GDPR).
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:

- Rectification (Art. 16) — to have incorrect data corrected
- Erasure (Art. 17) — to have your data deleted
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18)

Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.
